Red Group driving growth with Velociti’s scheduling solution

Red Group has partnered with Velociti Solutions to implement an intuitive cloud-based scheduling solution that will power the next phase of its growth. 

The group has transitioned its subsidiaries, Redline Buses and Red Rose Travel, to Velociti’s Omnibus software suite, streamlining operations and supporting its expansion. 

Redline Buses operates a mix of commercial and contracted school services across the Home Counties. It recently expanded its Aylesbury service by adding new routes and increasing frequencies after the closure of local Arriva depots.

Meanwhile, Red Rose Travel, serving the Dinton area near Aylesbury, adjusted routes to better align with customer demand, improving coverage and efficiency in response to local developments. 

Used by operators and transport authorities, the Omnibus software suite optimises processes across all stages of service – before, during and after the day. 

Red Group is harnessing the suite’s advanced scheduling modules – including timetabling, vehicle scheduling and mapping – to compile optimised schedules and prepare data-driven, cost-effective scenarios for transport authority tenders. 

Additionally, the group is implementing data sharing to streamline the exchange of public transport timetable and schedule information.
