Velociti Solutions is partnering with Transport for Wales (TfW) to implement the innovative RailSmart Dynamic Route Map (DRM) software across the TfW rail network. The technology will significantly enhance the passenger experience by providing real-time travel information and improving overall journey management.
Part of the Velociti Solutions RailSmart software suite, DRM transforms how passengers interact with the rail service by providing live updates on train locations, disruption alerts, and detailed station information. With its user-friendly interface, passengers are empowered with information to make informed decisions, ensuring their journeys are as seamless as possible. The intuitive design is optimised for mobile devices, enabling passengers to access rail information whenever and wherever they need it, helping to reduce the stress associated with travel disruptions and delays.
The platform connects to Darwin, the industry-standard source for real-time passenger information, allowing the train maps to update automatically. By leveraging the same data used for station displays, RailSmart DRM ensures consistency across all passenger information. The integration greatly reduces manual intervention, improving operational efficiency and enabling control room teams to allocate their resources more effectively.
RailSmart DRM supports TfW’s commitment to inclusive transport services, with the map being available in both English and Welsh. This ensures that passengers can access vital travel information in their preferred language. The bilingual interface enhances inclusivity and accessibility, supporting TfW’s goal of delivering a passenger-focused rail network.
